Longenecker Show Stock is a small diversified livestock operation in South Central Pennsylvania owned by Troy Longenecker. What started as a Yorkshire & Duroc Show pig operation and 4-H project in 2001 quickly grew to a Registered Polled Dorset Flock in 2002 after Troy was drawn into the sheep project at the PSU Livestock Judging Contest.

 Not the athletic type, Livestock judging and showing quickly became his sport. In 2006 the Southdown flock started with two bred ewes Troy was awarded through the ASBA Ewes for Youth Program. Troy’s passion, focus and love grew for the Southdown breed. Along with the Southdowns on the funny farm, Troy has developed and responsibly bred Pembroke Welsh Corgis since 2013 and recently added a Guard Llama for the sheep in 2021 that’s developing into a small herd of high profile stock with Nationally recognized genetics.

Although Troy is focused on continuing to raise elite Livestock in the East, his greatest passion is to give back to the youth of the Industry, and to give God all the Glory!
